This briefing will take the form of a “Master Class” for IT Service Management for Cloud Services, looking at the IT Service Management considerations from both the Provider and the Customer perspective.

KTSL is hosting a "BSM International" ITIL Workshop at BMC Software, Egham on Thursday 9th June 2011. 

BSM International is a fast-paced workshop that illustrates the connection between “the business” and “IT” in a real life situation.  You will be part of a team running an airport and be responsible for ensuring that aircraft can take off and land safely.

The workshop introduces ITIL-based practices and demonstrates the interdependency between the functional areas that are required to keep the airport operational, thus showing the connections between IT and the needs of the business.

Analyst Firm Ovum Endorses Hitachi ID Service and Identity and Access Management Solutions

KTSL partner Hitachi ID Systems earned an "impressive" review by analysts Ovum for its Identity & Access Management capabilities.

The findings, published in a recent report, rank Hitachi ID highly among much larger competitors. In particular, Ovum cited Hitachi ID's robust technology and first-class customer support as reasons that organisations should consider solutions from Hitachi ID.

In the report, "Decision Matrix: Selecting an Identity & Access Management Vendor," Ovum identified key capabilities of identity management vendors and products, to help organisations select the most appropriate solutions. Decision factors included technology, reputation, market presence and customer service.

 KTSL's Helpdesk Manager, Steve Parker, is supporting a team of cyclists riding from London to Paris over the coming Bank Holiday weekend, leaving the UK on Thursday 27^th and arriving at the Eiffel Tower on Saturday evening. Knowing Steve, this will probably consist of drinking red wine, but I'll let that pass as its for charity ....

Their aim is to raise £10,000 for a charity called "jole rider" (www.jolerider.org) and they would be very grateful if you would consider sponsoring them by pledging just a few pounds, euros or dollars.

 The ‘jole rider’ charity and their "Bikes 4 Africa" programme work with young people here in the UK, to refurbish donated bikes, before delivering them to schools in Gambia where they are given to the children. Many African children live in remote communities, a long way from their nearest school. Without reliable, affordable, motorised transport the only way these children can get to school is to walk.
